SYNOPSIS

  • This exercise places the knowledge and skill acquisition of condom use in a sociable learning experience.
  • Card sorting exercises and read-backs enable class to memorise 6 steps of condom application. 
  • Structured learning with transparent routines ensure everyone has the opportunity to safely share their understanding, firstly with their peers in small group work and then with the whole class.
  • Some of the personal and social impediments to condom use are identified and discredited.
  • An optional extension is demonstration and practise with applicators.
