ApauseToo Adult Training

All ApauseToo resources have achieved the PSHE Association Quality Assurance Award.

Our training is based on the ideal of empowerment through insight and performance.

The half-day ApauseToo adult training is designed to leave participants feeling confident in the ApauseToo resources and methods.

They will have belief in their ability to be effective at:

facilitation of learning using Apause classroom resources
applying the learning principles and personalise Apause resources to their own style of teaching
adapt Apause resources and develop their own whilst making informed choices about alternative products
delivering a similar training experience to their peers and colleagues

There is so much to cover that we haven't got through all the resources yet and we are now looking to introduce the Peer mentor programme this year."

Price: £300 per training event (not per attendee) + travel & subsistence (£100 max)

A training event typically takes place in a school and can accommodate up to 24 attendees. Representatives from different schools are welcome.

All training resources are provided free of charge but schools may need to order extra, reusable classroom resources to meet their implementation requirements.

We are always happy to negotiate a shorter or bespoke training package.

Apause Peer Training

The Apause Peer resources have achieved the PSHE Association Quality Assurance Award.

The Essential Peer Experience - Half-day training

In addition to the challenge of timetabling three or four peer sessions across a whole year group, many schools have reported difficulty in finding the time to train peer educators for a full day. In response to this we have developed and piloted the ‘Essential Peer Experience’.

The training is completed in just one morning and the peer educators will be competent to deliver to a high standard a 60 minute adaptation of the original Apause Peer Programme.

Attendant members of staff will be competent to facilitate future training. All training resources are provided free of charge.

Price: £300 + travel & subsistence (£100 max)

The Full Apause Peer Programme – One-day training

Over the last twenty years this programme has continued to prove itself as enjoyable, relevant and behaviourally effective. It is still the subject of ongoing research and publications and comprises 3 or 4 hours of high quality, peer-delivered SRE.

Attendant members of staff will be competent to facilitate future training. All training resources are provided free of charge but schools may need to order extra, reusable classroom resources to meet their implementation requirements.
